Great relaxing stay at the Old Post Office. A beautiful house, in a great location with a brilliant pub and cafe a short walk away, and lots of great walks nearby. We will be back at some point!

This has to be one of our favourite Airbnb experiences to date - The Old Post Office is simply stunning. Jane was easy to get in touch with and gave clear instructions where necessary. The Old Post Office is a very cosy, comfortable and stylish space to be in - it also boasts a lovely garden which we spent a lot of time in . We were also very fortunate to have had such great Easter weather which made the whole experience even better. We will be back!!

We had a fabulous stay in this beautifully located cottage. The views were stunning from the comfort of the living area and so peaceful. The accommodation was well equipped for everything we needed and lovely cosy fire at end of the day. Great location to local pub 5 mins away, and we did a great coastal walk to sunnyhills. Great getaway.

Excellent views of the estuary from this ideally placed property. The return walk to Rockcliffe is an excellent way to start your day. Dumfries and Galloway is a great place to explore..... it’s so quiet.

The view and location is beautiful. Even in a storm the house was warm and quiet. We loved the upstairs sitting room, with fantastic views.

A lovely house in a lovely location, looking out over the Kippford estuary, with plenty of bird activity. The house was clean and warm. We had frosty nights but we didn't use the wood burner, although wood had been provided- the house was warm enough. From Kippford there is a nice coastal walk to Rockcliffe and beyond. Dalbeattie forest is also within walking distance. The Anchor pub was just a few minutes walk away- they do nice food.

What a wonderful house in a beautiful part of the world. Such a great idea to have the lounge upstairs to make the most of the views and natural light. Jane was a great host and Brian went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable too.

The Old Post Office is a lovely house in a great position overlooking the estuary. Inside it has the living areas on the first floor so you can sit in the very comfortable chairs and sofa and watch the wildlife on the river. The bedrooms are downstairs, and again are very comfortable with nice bedding and lots of storage space. There is an excellent shower and everywhere is very clean and warm. Outside there is a big terrace leading off the lounge into the garden, perfect for a bbq. There are great walks directly from the cottage.

The house exceeded our expectations; we had everything we needed for our stay. The views are amazing, and it is a perfect base for walking/cycling in all seasons. The upstairs living area is one of the best we have stayed in. Thoroughly recommend.
