The dining area is spacious and the views across the Firth from the french windows in both areas are dramatic.

Bathroom
The bathroom is at the back of the house, and has underfloor heating. It has a toilet, wash handbasin, and shower, but no bath. This is so that we could install a washing machine without sacrificing the luxury of space.

Why The Old Post Office?
The Old Post office was indeed the old post office over 80 years ago when it was just one room. Later it was extended in the 1950s to provide a one-bedroomed cottage. We have owned the house since 1991, enjoying it as a holiday bolt hole, but in 2003 it was extended again and considerably altered. It overlooks the water on Rough Firth, and has spectacular views across to Bengairn and Screel and of course wonderful sunsets.
Notes
The house has oil-fired central heating.
There is parking for two cars only; visitors can park at the beginning of the road near the bus shelter.
Because of the varying stairs and levels and its proximity to the road, this house is not suitable for young children.
