There is a cockleshell beach at the end of Rough Firth (200 metres). Rockliffe has a sandy beach, one and a half miles to walk, about 6 miles by car.
There is a splendid sandy beach at Sandyhills eight miles away. (Charges for car parking). Further afield, the Galloway coast is littered with lovely beaches and coves.
